Kaitlyn
Burns began taking dance classes at the age of 4.
She began her classical ballet training at
age 12, under the direction of Andrea Edwards at Canyon View Arts Center School
of Performing Arts, where she earned the Mary Kasai Scholarship.
She was accepted into many ballet and jazz
summer intensives through Brigham Young University.
She was a member of the Riverton High Dance
Company.
She was a sterling scholar
finalist at Riverton High School in Dance.
She also has been a guest dancer for Mountain West Ballet and Academy of
Ballet Arts Nutcracker productions, performing lead roles in Spanish,
Marlinton, Snow, and Rose.
She is
currently a sophomore in the Utah Valley University BS Dance Education program.
Her freshman year she was a member of the UVU
Hip Hop Company, MOS.A.I.C.
She is
currently a member of the UVU Modern Dance Company, Synergy.
She was an intern for Kinuko Modern Dance
Company in the summer of 2012.
She has
been a full member for Kinuko Modern Dance Company for three seasons.
